So the biggest decision is going to be around your filter. There’s a few different filtration methods, and then you’re going to look at what setup you’ve got, whether it’s going to be chlorine salts or magnesium. The main three options with filters, you’ve got a couple of different options. It’s either a paper filter or a sand filter. Paper filters, we generally don’t recommend for most scenarios, the best quality solution for most people, most of the time, is a sand filter. The sand filters are those big like big, round plastic tub. You fill them up with sand or a different media. If you’re also deciding on materials, consider whether fibreglass for a plunge pool might be the right choice for your installation.
We generally recommend a glass media, which is a high quality media. And the reason is, the balls on the glass are much smaller than sand and they’re a smoother surface, so that means the balls can fit in closer together than sand can fit in. It gives you a much finer grade of filtration means your water is going to be sparkly clean all the time. Easy to clean, easy to maintain. That’s what we recommend for most people most of the time you. After deciding on the best filter for your pool, it’s important to also think about the right plunge pool heating options, ensuring you get the most out of your plunge pool, regardless of the season.
